I did try to get it to render as as pure ASCII Terminal, with each character selectable, but it produced a ton of challenges, primary among them accessibility. Having onscreen characters that don't match the expected function (as is often the case with ASCII glyph art like on the map.

Forcing accessible navigation to a second-class experience wasn't acceptable for me, there is a strong chance that there is a clever way to do it, just haven't figured one that ticked all my boxes yet. Maybe I'll write a dev log about the quest for it the future.
